Antwerp Pride 2023 Kicks Off with Grand Opening Night

Parade Route Includes Kloosterstraat, Tribute to Czar Peter the Great

The 16th edition of Antwerp Pride kicked off on Wednesday with a festive opening night at the Openluchttheater Rivierenhof. The official parade route for Saturday's highlight event has been announced, featuring a special stop at Kloosterstraat and a tribute to Czar Peter the Great.

Participants are invited to gather on Wednesday evening at Sint-Jansplein in Antwerpen Noord for the official start of the event. The pride parade will take place on Saturday, August 12, with the route starting from the Groenplaats and ending at the Antwerp Pride Village on Marnixplaats.

Over 300 organizations and individuals are expected to participate in the parade, showcasing the diversity and inclusivity of the LGBTQ+ community. The event aims to promote awareness, celebrate diversity, and advocate for equal rights for all.
